As a dual French and British national, born and bred in the UK and now living in the Gers in France, I have literally bridged the French/British divide my whole life.
I'm passionate about languages, intercultural communication and travelling, hence my decision to pursue a degree in French, Spanish and Japanese and then an MA in Interpreting and Translation from the University of Bath in 2011.
Nearly ten years on, including two year-long trips in South America and South-East Asia and over seven years' work as an in-house translator in France, I have acquired an in-depth knowledge of the cultural and linguistic specificities of my languages to produce high-quality technical and business translations for you.
Yes, I'm a translator, but that is by no means the only way to define me! I have a whole host of hobbies that inspire me, and I'm always on the look-out for new opportunities to learn!
In the past, I pursued a range of sports including synchronised swimming and water polo, I was a volunteer first-aider for St John Ambulance, I taught English in Peru, Laos and Thailand, and I ran a marathon in under 4.5 hours rasing 500€ for the not-for-profit organisation COPE Laos.
Right now, I'm building my own environmentally-friendly straw-bale timber frame home, baking up a storm in the kitchen, learning how to garden according to permaculture principles, looking after my ménagerie of cats, dogs and chickens, and am working as a volunteer subtitler for the online video subtitling platform Amara.
All of that to say, that by drawing on my professional and life experiences, I am well-placed to provide you with documents in English that truly add value to your business.
We all have different needs, that's why I'm here for you to offer you a personalised service
suited to your needs and budget.
