For translations, editing, audio transcriptions, video subtitling and certified translations in English
If you have a document written in another language that you do not understand, then you need a translator to help you. Translation is where you communicate the meaning of a written text in another language. It is by no means a word-for-word translation, which is to be avoided at all costs.
My fee always includes translation, editing and proofreading as standard.
If your document is solely in English, and you want to make sure that there are no spelling, grammar or terminology issues, then you need this service.
The editing process also makes sure that sentences flow well and that there are no ambiguities in the text that could lead to multiple interpretations - this is especially important for contracts, technical documents and legal texts.
If you are from, or have lived or travelled to the UK or the US, you know that British English and American English are drastically different, especially in written form.
That's why localisation is important to ensure that the right terms and expressions are used so that they carry the right meaning for your audience. After all, it would be a shame for the message to get lost in translation!
An audio transcription is where you convert audio to text format and is particularly useful for interviews. Video subtitling is essentially the same service but with the added bonus of having a visual to accompany. Lastly, video translations are great for a broader reach to audiences that don't speak your language, whether that be blogs, podcasts, online conferences and videos.
So why not maximise your content and international reach? Having English subtitles embedded in your videos will help more people find out about you.
If you need to provide a foreign government with an official translation of a French document such as a birth certificate, academic degree, criminal background search, you need this service.
This translation, erroneously known as a sworn translation, will be produced and certified as true to the original, bearing the translator's stamp and signature, document number and date.
In France, this service can only be provided by an Expert Traducteur, someone who has sworn an oath at a French Court of Appels, a Court of Cassation or a High Court. I can help as I'm a sworn translator for the Agen Court of Appeal.
Whichever service you decide to go for, I'm here for you every step of the way to ensure your texts in English meet your expectations.
If you're still unsure which service is best for you, send me an email detailing your needs so that together we can find the best solution for you. Better yet, call me so I can get to know you and make sure that you get the very best of services.
Or why not schedule a conference call with me so we can chat online? It's easy, book your meeting here.
